Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Process Manager, supporting the Research and Development Team. The qualified individual will provide project and process support at our Intralox facility located in Hanover, MD. The position requires someone who is a self-starter, excellent at building relationships, has outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and a fundamental understanding of process document creation. This position will require complex problem solving, where precedent may not exist, in a very collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Document and maintain current processes related to research and development projects and find areas for improvement to ensure operational efficiency. 
    • This work will require working closely with many different team members to understand their work and how this work transfers to other teams.  
    • This will involve interviewing team members, documenting workflows, and iterating documents.
  • Work directly with research and development project teams to create work instructions that can be used by standard operations teams. 
    • Work instructions could include assembly instructions, service and support instructions, installation requirements and more.
  • Work with Technical Writing to create or update manuals or existing training material for new or changing products.
  • Discover where documents may overlap and intersect; look for inconsistencies as well as ways to minimize waste.
  • Manage the R&D documents in our company wiki. 
  • Help to manage the transition to the new Share Point On-Line and PLM when that occurs. 
  • Become the R&D Team's super user in the new Share Point On-line and PLM systems.
  • Be able to take a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Support project teams with administrative tasks as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts from a 4-year institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Work experience in process creation and documentation.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, and self-managed with minimal guidance.
  • Must be a team player that can effectively communicate with individuals and groups at all organizational levels.
  • Must be extremely organized, detail oriented and can handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Provide key support in rollouts and implementations. Change management experience would be a plus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Ability to understand technical discussions and demonstrate a solid understanding of operational principles.
