This position exists to support operations in a liaison role. Candidates must have strong manufacturing, industrial and mechanical skills. You should also have a working knowledge of electronics. This position will create a vision for future state development improvement, via hands-on experience.  

 

You will continuously improve our manufacturing processes by:

  • Validating existing documentation and drafting new documentation.
  • Focusing on tooling and design.
  • Eliminating waste in our production environment. 
  • Incorporating feedback from our highly-skilled and tenured battery assembly technicians

 

Key responsibilities include -- but are not limited to:

  • Supporting daily production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Acting as a liaison for our Aerospace, Defense and Racing customers.
  • Utilizing skills set for: new product introduction, technical writing, problem solving, continuous improvement, and quality assurance.
  • Adhering to World Class practices .

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or equivalent).
  • Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Background utilizing World Class or Lean Manufacturing Processes.
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate.
  • Should have highly-competent organizational skills.
  • Must be a US citizen.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Ideal candidates will be self-starting, goal-oriented and project driven.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial and mechanical design concepts.
  • Experience with general fastening systems.
  • Continued process improvement (yield / revenue enhancement).
  • Adhesive systems application.
  • Machine controls comprehension.
  • PPE safety and ergonomic standard knowledge.
  • Use of inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Understanding of mechanical & electrical drawings.
  • Some knowledge of DC and AC electrical basics.
  • Adherence to Saft’s quality control standards.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience (root cause analysis/problem solving).
  • Technical writing (such as work instructions).
  • Knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Competent proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of configuration management.
