Who We Are 
We’re part of the World’s largest tool company. We provide anchoring solutions for the global construction industry. We are currently looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our talented team. The mechanical engineer will help support engineering and marketing with new product development and mature product technical support and documentation across the range of products including tools, fasteners and accessories.
 
Who You Are 
You’re a multi tasker who is eager to apply your engineering knowledge to help grow this product category. The Mechanical Engineer responsibilities include developing product and testing programs for gaining approvals and publishing technical data, evaluating test results, maintaining product approvals, and published technical data, providing engineering technical support for the Mechanical Anchor product line category.
You also have:  

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Self-motivated, creative, goal-oriented, and good team player.
  • 1-3 years design engineering experience preferred with manufacturing exposure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills & hand on abilities.
  • Awareness of design for manufacturing, quality inspection methods.
  • Proficient in 3D design (CATIA experience preferred)
  • Basic Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups from design perspective.
  • Good experience in using MS Office software (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Project management skills and the desire to lead
  • Manufacturing experience a bonus
  • Excellent communication, organization & time management skills


What You’ll Do 
As an Engineer, you’ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team located in the Tri State area (NY, NJ, CT), you’ll:

  • Successfully support the design process to achieve all quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Perform hands-on concept development, proto-typing, product testing, data collection and definition of product specifications.
  • Investigate design issues & test failures, and identify, recommend and implement corrective actions to components.
  • Work with independent agencies to manage direct fastening test programs and product approvals.
  • Be involved with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Reliability, Field Research) to help identify and define customer requirements and develop the tests to duplicate end user tasks
  • Provide technical support to sales and marketing
  • Support the builds of engineering, manufacturing and pilot lots to ensure that the products are assembled and tested in the correct way to ensure long term product quality
  • Support the Milestone process for all engineering requirements to deliver a product that meets our history of guaranteed tough products
