What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you’ll be part of our Global Tools and Storage team located in Hampstead, MD. You’ll get to:
- Lead the development, training, and operation of production associates, working on the plant floor to implement lean manufacturing techniques, including 5S for the 1st shift.
- Administer manufacturing and Hampstead policies in a direct and consistent manner.
- Drive all Safety, Quality and labor efficiency at or above the goal
- Assign daily duties to all associates
- Oversee production jobs, authorize new production jobs before running the orders off the press
- Assist the Production Manager in all production needs, including SAP for shipping
- Communicate to 1st shift regarding any issues
- Ensure that safety initiatives and rules are strictly adhered to.
- Responsible for training of new associates/temps; administer disciplinary actions as required; develop the skills of team members.

- Strong leadership qualities, agility and enjoy being a working Supervisor.
- 2-year degree required or equivalent technical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing environment
- Lean and 5S manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong drive and leadership abilities to be a change agent
- Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple projects and priorities, and be adept at information gathering and technical decision-making
- Willingness to be hands-on in a manufacturing, shop-floor environment
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and to lead projects and improvement activities
- Self-starting, results-oriented individual who can be part of a team as well as stand up for tough decisions when required
- High Energy, Good Work Ethic, Proactive & Can-Do spirits
