Shipping and Receiving Assistant

Number Of Vacancies: 2
 
  • Coordinate all daily customer shipments per their scheduled ship dates insuring inventory integrity and accuracy
  • Prepare all outgoing shipments per packaging/skidding requirements
  • Load and unload trailers – follow all CTPAT requirements
  • Receive incoming material and process receiving receipts in a timely and accurate basis
  • Perform cycle count processes and proper inventory management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements:

  • Must exercise necessary precautions to ensure personal safety and safety of others
  • Work in a team environment
  • Understand and work to the Quality system
  • Must be customer focused
  • Must be able to read, write, basic math skills and strong computer knowledge (i.e. navigate through multiple systems and working knowledge of Excel, Word, Email and other software programs)
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow documented procedures
  • Extensive system knowledge
  • Must be able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
  • Must be a certified forklift operator or able to be certified
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds continuously
  • Must have a focus on Quality and accuracy
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-directed with his/her workload
