Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials
Receive, identify, issue and store material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method
Fill and distribute basic material and repair orders
Label, pack and load items for shipment according to specifications
Unload incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills
Maintain records of all items received and shipped
Assess workforce needs and review with supervisor; assign work in accordance with priority and individual capability; ensure all materials, tools, and supplies are available to allow workflow through assigned area
Lead, guide, coach or mentor less experienced team members; be a positive role model for team
Perform cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy; reconcile variances
Review all documentation for completion and correctness; make changes as needed
Communicate to team the team’s performance to relevant KPIs; develop a plan of action to correct any missed opportunities
Generate standard work procedures; train others on process
Ensure that work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition and all safety regulations are observed; report and correct any unsafe work practices or conditions immediately
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only); report and correct any unsafe or improper handling of materials
Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members
Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
