Position Summary
The Electrical Controls Engineer will be a part of our Electrical Engineering Team and will be instrumental in designing electrical controls for automated machinery, such as assembly machines, continuous motion machines, and robotic machinery.
Essential Functions
Design industrial machinery electrical controls
Involved in small to midsized programming projects to include PLC’s/PAC’s, HMI’s including screen layouts; Multi-axis servo controllers and systems, vision systems; safety controllers/systems, vision systems; safety controllers and systems and machine integration
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in programming and debugging industrial machinery, preferably with an OEM
Minimum 3 years’ experience with communication protocols commonly found in industrial control systems
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with industrial filling machines and industrial packaging machines a plus but not required
Experience working with a manufacturing company
Experience designing electrical controls for automated machinery, such as assembly machines, continuous motion machines, and robotic machinery
Experience with higher level program constructs and languages
Demonstrated Programming Experience in small to mid-size projects that include:
PLC’s/PAC’s and similar automation system/components
HMI’s: including screen layouts
Multi-axis servo controllers and systems
Vision systems
Safety controllers and systems
Machine integration
Direct Experience designing industrial machinery electrical controls
Creative and innovative problem-solving ability
Cross functional communication skills
Travel Requirement

Physical Requirements
Job requires being stationary and manual work more than 75% of work time on average; standing, moving, communicating, climbing, crawling/stooping/kneeling; reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds less than 25% of the time.
