This is a Technical Product Services Leader (Senior Manager) position within Covergirl, Rimmel, and Max Factor North America with direct line management responsibility for end-to-end technical packaging delivery. This includes leading a team responsible for developing/implementing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. It requires understanding multiple packaging materials and configurations. It also requires the ability to manage and execute multiple projects at once. This position has the responsibility of working closely with cross-functional team members to develop and launch new product/packaging solutions into the market in addition to cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities on current products and sustainability improvements. Key Duties & Responsibilities 1) Lead a Team of Packaging Engineers and Initiative Startup Engineers responsible for delivering the following: Manage and execute multiple packaging projects while developing a working knowledge of technologies. This is inclusive of leading projects related to sustaining base business, innovation, cost savings, sustainability and continuous quality improvements. Assess and provide factory cost and feasibility input for new product initiatives, including proposed fill/pack production lines, safety recommendations, required line trials, staffing needs and proposed capital needs if current equipment isn’t sufficient Supplier Management and Material Issue Resolution including coordinating the development efforts with outside component suppliers as well as contract manufacturers both domestically and internationally Plan and execute line trials in filling/packing, including coordination of external to the plant resources, downtime planning, required documentation, etc. Troubleshoot issues that arise during assessment, feasibility, development, and commercialization; implement a plan of action and execute the plan Propose cleaning procedures and lead cleaning trials and validations as needed Assure fill/pack readiness for any initiative testing, validation, and start of production Interface with Site Initiative Leaders to communicate initiatives status and share requests Lead Fill/Pack initiative delivery team meetings Maintain database of Filling/Packing production lines and capabilities to be used in initiative assessments Input to Fill/Pack capacity planning Collaborate with R&D Packaging resources to assure products are developed and scales up appropriate to Hunt Valley Fill/Pack production line capabilities Plan & execute Filling/Packing line trials to support Initiative start-ups by coordinating external resources, requesting planned downtime, and ensuring paperwork to support line trials is complete Coordinate the preparation of package prototypes for functional testing according to ASTM methods 2) Develop, implement, and track Plant wide component cost reduction plan meeting YOY cost reduction targets 3) Assure Filling/Packing technical readiness for any initiative testing, cleaning, validation, and start of production Qualifications B.S. Degree Engineering or Packaging Science, or 5 years equivalent Business Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in FMCG or similar industry with proven work experience in Operational and Project leadership in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Team player with excellent personnel management, leadership, and communication skills Collaborative approach to problem solving; strong analytical and communication skills Knowledge in Manufacturing and general skills in the Information Technology systems supporting the manufacturing and initiative delivery work. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project) Working knowledge of SAP, MRP & Prosper
