Job Description:

  • Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials
  • Receive, identify, issue and store material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method
  • Fill and distribute basic material and repair orders
  • Label, pack and load items for shipment according to specifications
  • Unload incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills
  • Maintain records of all items received and shipped
  • Assess workforce needs and review with supervisor; assign work in accordance with priority and individual capability; ensure all materials, tools, and supplies are available to allow workflow through assigned area
  • Lead, guide, coach or mentor less experienced team members; be a positive role model for team
  • Perform cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy; reconcile variances
  • Review all documentation for completion and correctness; make changes as needed
  • Communicate to team the team’s performance to relevant KPIs; develop a plan of action to correct any missed opportunities
  • Generate standard work procedures; train others on process
  • Ensure that work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition and all safety regulations are observed; report and correct any unsafe work practices or conditions immediately
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only); report and correct any unsafe or improper handling of materials
  • Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
