BW Papersystems has an immediate opportunity available for a Project Manager, responsible for providing project management discipline to a product line.  This role performs project execution and client coordination across the company to include activities such as proposal development and presentation, leadership of the project resources, budgeting, forecasting, project scheduling, engineering, integration, installation, start-up and project closure.  The Project Manager is a single source of coordination for both internal and external stake-holders.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management at pre-sale proposal stage; provide technical, solutions-based presentations to meet client needs while supporting sales team
  • Define metrics with stakeholders to measure project performance; provide support as needed
  • Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure project is delivered on time, within budget, adheres to high-quality standards, and meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Assemble project teams; manage resource allocation and day-to-day operations of the project; serve as a liaison between project team members and stakeholders requesting project updates
  • Generate project schedule, cost estimates, and gross profit analysis; manage scope of work to meet or exceed these goals
  • Partner with outside OEMs to define scope of requirements, manage purchasing process and ensure execution and accountability
  • Responsible for all project documentation control and formal communication
  • Provide status updates to key stakeholders via regular meetings and reports
  • Liaise with various functions to ensure integration meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
  • May lead, direct, coach less experienced team members and/or project manager
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Experience with drafting/engineering software (AutoCAD, Solid Works or equivalent)

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience required

 

Supervisory/Responsibility:

Reports to New Equipment Team Leader; this position does not directly supervise other employees 

 

Work Environment:

This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility.  Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee’s essential job duties also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area.  The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.

 

Physical Demands:

This role requires the constant use of standard office equipment; visual and mental focus; light lifting may be required in order to inspect goods; frequent travel is expected.

 

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.

 

Travel:

 Frequent domestic and global travel is required for this position; anticipated travel is 50-60%.
