Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Quality inspection on incoming goods.
  • Participate in government and customer source inspections.
  • Identify, document and control non-conforming material to ensure compliance to SOP.
  • Support with Quality Management System and customer audits.

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • A minimum of three years of experience in quality inspection or applicable experience is required.
  • Knowledge of inspection tools/equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, thread gauges, microscopic inspection, etc.
  • Vision systems (or CMM experience) is a big plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints or follow Inspections Plans.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to obtain IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications is required.
  • Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
  • Candidates should have an intermediate skill-level with computers (will interact with databases, etc.).

 

Working Conditions

  • Dry room atmosphere – low humidity, air conditioned – 25% of time
  • Safety glasses and nitrile gloves required
  • Standing – 50% of time
  • Sitting - 50% of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Extended periods of time performing work under magnification (eye loop, microscope, etc.)
